AI Trading FAQ: Can AI Trade for Me, Which Platforms, Is It Safe?

Straight answers to the questions traders ask before putting AI into their workflow.

Frequently asked questions about AI trading agents, extensions and education

Can AI trade for me?

Yes, within limits you set. An AI agent can read your platform, decide against your written rules and place orders through the platform’s own order ticket. We always ship confirm mode, position and loss limits and a kill switch, and recommend paper trading first.

Can AI place trades on TradingView?

TradingView itself has no AI execution. Our Chrome extension reads the TradingView chart, sends it to your chosen AI and places orders through TradingView’s trading panel to your connected broker — or through the broker’s own web platform. Details →

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The extension and the course are built for traders. Rules are written in plain English; where code is needed (for example a Pine Script indicator), the AI writes it and you review.

Which AI models can I use?

Claude, ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini, or a local model. You bring your own API key; your data goes to the provider you choose, not to us.

Which platforms are supported?

TradingView first, then MetaTrader 5/4 web, cTrader, TradeLocker, DXtrade, Match-Trader, Tradovate, NinjaTrader web, Interactive Brokers, thinkorswim web, Binance and Bybit. Any browser-based platform can be added. All platforms →

How does the extension feed data from my platform to AI?

It reads what the platform renders in your browser — price and indicator values, drawings, watchlist, positions, order book — and structures it into a compact, timestamped payload for the model. No broker API keys are required for reading.

Is AI trading safe?

AI can be wrong, and markets can move faster than any agent. Safety comes from limits: small size, hard loss caps, confirm mode, kill switch, and logs you review. We build all of that in and teach it in the course. Nothing here is investment advice.

Is automation allowed at my prop firm?

It depends on the firm and the phase. Many allow EAs and bots but ban HFT, latency arbitrage and cross-account copying. We review your firm’s rules with you and build the agent to stay inside them. Prop-firm setup →

What is an MCP server for trading?

A Model Context Protocol server exposes your platform to an AI assistant as a set of controlled tools — quotes, positions, orders — with your limits applied to every call. MCP →

Do you build custom tools?

Yes — for individual traders, small teams, brokers and prop firms. Custom AI tools →

Automation carries risk. Nothing on this page is investment advice; every tool we build ships with position limits, a confirm mode and a kill switch, and you remain responsible for your trading decisions.
