What an MCP server does for trading

An MCP server exposes your platform as a set of typed tools the AI can call: get_quote, get_positions, place_order, cancel_order, get_account_risk. The AI cannot do anything the server does not expose, and every call passes your limits. That is the difference between “give the AI my password” and “give the AI a steering wheel with a governor”.

For traders

• Use Claude Desktop, ChatGPT or Claude Code as your trading assistant, talking to your live platform.
• Ask for positions, risk, quotes; request orders that go through confirm mode and limits.
